About: As a child, I was never into cartoons instead I loved watching home renovation TV shows. So naturally, I gravitated toward architecture because it included all my childhood interests and more. The constant feed of aesthetics, function, and innovation at school keeps me captivated and excited to learn. Aside from architecture, I try my best to get off the grid by road tripping, camping or hiking.

About: My passion for art and design led me to architecture, and studying at UCLA has introduced me to the discourse and theories within the field. With a new understanding of architecture as a discipline, I want to continue to graduate school focusing on writing, theory, and design. This competition will further my understanding of instant shelters, installation work, and conceptual theory. When I’m not in studio I like exploring the city, cooking, and traveling.

About: Growing up in a small city with lots of skyscrapers has naturally gained my interest in architecture and urbanism. My dream is to combine digital technology and Chinese traditional architectural approach to create a new design style.

About: Growing up playing on construction sites, and traveling with my dad to different places, I naturally developed an interest in architecture. Particularly interested in communal and cultural spaces, my goal is to use the combination of technology and architecture to make a change to the way people live their life.

About: Art, design, and architecture were always part of my life and education, and my goal is to be able to create by combining them. In my free time, I like to be outdoors and explore new places in the city that seems so familiar, but always opens from a new side.

About: The ability to design a home for someone has always been a dream of mine. When a family can cherish the capabilities of my design, that gives me the most joy in the world.  That is why, my main goal in architecture revolves around residential properties and how those homes can sustain a variety of people.

About: My passion is environmental and sustainable design, and my goal is to help low income communities such as foster youth, homeless veterans, and low income families through affordable housing and green building design strategies.
